The principal duty of a student is to study. But as a member of the society where he lives in, he can never avoid enormous problems of the society. There are a number of problems which cab be solved by the students. Illiteracy is one of the major problems of our country. A large number of people both men and women do not know how to read and write. The students can participate in educating these people. Government and NGOs can appoint students in illiteracy alleviation canters where the students can do the duty very sincerely.




Students can take part in the campaign for a planned life. They can help the Government and the NGOs to raise awareness among people to encourage them to keep the family suitable. Drug addiction is another problem of the country. They can also raise awareness among people about the bad effect of smoking. They can advise people to give up smoking. They can make organization for making people awareness among this problem.  The students can build up libraries, science club, and gymnasiums in rural and urban areas. They can encourage young learners be involved in such institutions. Thus, they can keep themselves free from doing unsocial activities.


The students can take part in disaster management activities. A flood is an annual calamity which does a lot of damages to lives and properties. In time of natural calamities, they can help the affected people and help the government and NGOs in saving the distressed people.

A student of today will become a dutiful citizen in future. If the students are involved in social services in their students life, they will be able to prove themselves worthy of the country in their later life.
